I offer a variety of topics and know how to customize them for your audience...whether at a retreat, special event, business luncheon, staff training seminar, camp meeting...so let's find out if your event and my topic(s) are a good fit for each other!
You may wonder about fees. My husband and I prayerfully consider each invitation and do not base the decision to participate on fees alone. However, speaking engagements offer part of our living, and as a suggested range, unless you are an inner-city ministry, you should consider a minimum of $150 per topic for events of less than 50 participants (for retreats, multiply number of sessions by that amount.) If your audience is larger, you should consider giving a higher honorarium per session. You should also plan to provide funds for travel expenses for the main speaker. (If desired, my husband can provide a no-honorarium-necessary workshop on finances to a different group such a Sunday school class, or men's group if I am speaking to the women--if travel expenses for him are included.)
There are ways to host an event without the host organization having to cover all the fees. Savvy determination of registration fees, adequate promotion to guarantee minimum attendance, and some flexibility work together to make it a win-win for all.
